Business English training. Why is it so important to warm-down your English?

Warm-down is what sports people, athletes and amateurs (like me) do AFTER doing sport or exercise to take care of their bodies and to understand their performance (what was good and what needs to improve). Here is a definition of warm-down by wikipedia.

So what does warm-down your English mean? And why is it so important to warm-down your English?

Basically, after you use your English for key situations, WARM DOWN is how you REFLECT on your communication skills in English (what was good and what needs to improve).

For example:

– Do you know what you did well and need to improve in your last meeting in English?

– Do you know what you did well and need to improve in your last 1 to 1 conversation in English?

– Do you know what you did well and need to improve in your last presentation in English?

Why is it so important to warm-down your English (reflecting techniques)?

?? REFLECTING techniques (warm-down) are important techniques to build your confidence in English and to understand what you need to improve in your communication in English.

?? Here are four reflecting techniques from our training to help you:

✅ Were your key messages clear?
✅ Was your structure easy to follow for the other people?
✅ Did you check and clarify that people were following you and understood your key messages?
✅ Did you ask for feedback from any of the meeting participants?
