Presentation Closings In English And Why They Matter

Presentations Closings in English and why they matter

My top tips: Presentations Closings in English and why they matter

Presentations In English: Strong Presentation Closings

“Thank you for your attention, goodbye”.
❌ “That’s a presentation ending, but not a presentation closing”.

✅ 1) “What key messages do you want your audience to remember from your presentation?”
✅ 2) “What do you want your audience to do after your presentation?”
✅ 3) “How can you leave a strong professional impression on your audience?”

“I know the answers to questions 1 and 2, but I don’t know the answer to question 3.”

Presentations Closings in English and why they matter

? There are better presentation closings in English than the one above.
?Studies show that audiences remember easier ‘the opening’, ‘the closing’ and ‘one or two main things from the content’ (body) in a presentation.
? If you watch any top presentation or a TED Talk the presenter will always have a strong closing.
? Good presenters want to communicate well, get their ideas across with impact and influence strongly.
? Without a strong presentation opening and a strong presentation closing in English that simply will not happen.
What do you want to do when you present in English?
** And remember you need to put the same amount of time designing and creating your presentation closing in English as your presentation opening in English. Otherwise your audience will remember your presentation opening and not your closing.

?? Here are some techniques and a Business English phrase sheet (image /visual above) from our training to help you:

 presentation closing – summarising
 presentation closing – recommendations
presentation closing – conclusions and ideas
presentation closing – one key message
